Abdominal Ultrasound
Name:
Exam date:
Comparison:
Indication:
Technique:
Multiple sonographic images of the abdomen were assessed for gray scale appearance and color doppler flow.
Findings:
The pancreas is normal in appearance (or not well visualized due to overlying bowel gas).
The liver is normal in echotexture and demonstrates no evidence of dilated intrahepatic ducts.
The gallbladder has no evidence of intraluminal echogenicity and the wall measures ____mm in diameter (< 3mm is normal). The common hepatic duct measures ____mm in diameter (< 6mm is normal).
The hepatic and portal veins demonstrate normal directional flow.
The kidneys and spleen are normal in appearance.
The inferior vena cava measures ____mm in diameter (or is not well visualized). The aorta measures ____mm in diameter (or is not well visualized).
Impression:
Normal abdominal ultrasound.
